The moment your phone receives the activation signal, the Mobile Defense icon is no longer active – and the app starts running in the background and the icon no longer works (see pic below). For advanced users, you can install the application as a system app for true invisibility, however you need root access and the ability to understand and step through the configuration for system setup. Personally, I’m cool with taking my chances set up as a regular app that runs in the background.

Nope. Since Android is a Linux OS, it basically consumes no power at all in the background until it's activated, or "awakened," via the Mobile Defense web site. I've had this app for a few weeks now and have no problems with battery drainage. It seems to work exactly as described.

BADLAND quickly became one of the better platform games. It contains over 100 levels along with 23 multiplayer levels as well. If that doesn’t seem like enough, there is also a level creation mechanic where you can build your own levels and share them with other players. The game features some unique graphics with silhouetted characters and colorful backgrounds. It’s a solid overall experience. You can download the game for free to play a demo and then pay for the whole thing for $3.99 as an in-app purchase.

Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is a puzzle-platform game where you play as two characters. These two boys are looking for a cure to their father’s terminal illness. You progress through the game by using both characters to tackle various obstacles. It features decent graphics, an actual storyline, and a unique control scheme. You’ll be controlling both characters simultaneously which adds a bit of difficulty. The game isn’t overly long and most should be able to complete it in a few hours, but at least there are no in-app purchases.
